The Universal Gateway or "UGW" is the main gateway for home or branch-office users
to access voice services at corporate headquarters using a simple data connection
rather than a standard telephone line. With the capacity to support 120 LAN ports
in any physical location, the UGW provides full Coral features and functionality
for every Coral FlexSet-IP user on the system.
By maintaining all peer-to-peer IP voice calls entirely on the network, the UGW
allows heavy traffic configurations. Your Coral system can support multiple UGW
cards with load sharing and redundancy capabilities for both media and signaling
data streams.

- A "gateway" card fits in the Coral IPx server and provides for conversations between
IP devices and traditional telephone devices.
- Complies with voice compression support in either G711, G723.1 or G729 standards.
- VoIP standard: MGCP- Simultaneously supports 240 IP devices (Coral FlexSet-IP telephones,
FlexSet-IP Softphones, Coral Teleport analog devices).
